MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possible causes of elbow pain include infections, inflammations, fractures, dislocations, degeneration, injuries to ligaments/ tendons, neuro-muscular causes such as nerve impingement, muscle spasm, micronutrient deficiencies, referred pain from other regions etc. If the management suggested by the doctor does not seem to help with the symptoms in a week or so, I would recommend seeing an orthopedician. After a specific cause is identified, a management plan can be initiated accordingly.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
