faciotomy on calcaneal fracture

I broke my left heel on 2nd Nov I slipper between 2 rocks on the beach. Had a back slab put on but compart synrdrome set in so I had a faciotomy ( foot opened in 3 places to relieve pressure) the biggest wound at the side  of foot took such a long time to heal in fact I had to use a Vac Machine for at least 6 weeks or more and then have skin graft which is now healing well. I have been on crutches for over 2 months and my orthopedic surgeon has referred me to a foot specialist which I am due to see in about 4 week. I have been told I can walk around the house and small amounts of outside walking which i have done but it now appears I have a pinched nerve in my back  and dont know what to do. Took a long time to get to my question but has anybody out there had this surgery and what are the repurcussions?.
