foot and ankle swelling and discoloration

I fractured my cuboid bone and 4th metatarsal  in my right foot during injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on 5/25/09.  My diagnosis was delayed by about 4 weeks after which I was non weight bearing and casted.  It has now been almost 4 weeks since my cast came off and I am still experiencing marked ankle and foot swelling  as well as pain around the 4th metatarsal when I lift my heel off the floor during walking.  My right foot is also quite a bit darker than my left foot.  It looks like it belongs to a different person.  Sometimes it feels as though the right leg is a bit heavy and lazy.  It took an MRI to diagnose the fractures almost a month after the accident and at that point they said there was no tendon or ligament damage. My question to you is should I be experiencing swelling almost 4 weeks after my cast came off and 3 months since the initial injury?  Also what do you think may be causing my foot to be so discolored?  I would really appreciate your advice.  Thank You
