foot fracture

I might have a possible fracture on the top of my right foot.  I went to the doctor and they can't decide if it is or isn't and I'm at the point now where I don't want to go back b/c of their ignorance.  Whats the best course of action as far as speedy recovery besides going to the doctor? I can still walk on it fine, it just hurts when I sit down for awhile and get up to walk on it again.  If I keep it active it seems to feel better.

Did the doctor give you an orthotic boot to keep your foot stable?  A lot of times foot fractures are hairline so they are hard to detect and treatment would be stability in either case.  It is important to protect the bones to prevent further injury.  A boot would allow that and you would be able to walk.
