foot pain

I have pain in my left foot that starts off sore then gets worse as the days go by. It gets to where i can't stand to walk because of the pain and has a throbbing aching pain to it. This is the second time I have had this "flare up" I am a diabetic type 2 not sure if that has anything to do with it. Motrin does seem tto Help the pain a little.

I have had several pins and bolts in my right ankle over 12 yes ago.  In the last 2-3 years have acquired severe pain in ankle and foot! I get a burning pain in center of foot and at the ball behind big toe it stays sore to the touch..
.. Any recommendations!???

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Well, without an evaluation, it would be difficult to determine the cause of your pain. Possibilities that may need to be considered include infections/ inflammations like fasciitis, neurological causes, fractures, ligament/ tendon injuries, vascular causes, spur formation, heel fat pad syndrome, arch issues etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
