gel injection

I had the Synvisc-One injection 5 weeks ago
I had a repair of a torn meniscus along with the atheritis. I went thru pt and steriod shots.no success. Now I got the gel injection, but I still have alot of pain and some swelling, When will I start to see some results from the shot?

Hi there!

Synvisc usually starts acting in a few days / weeks. If you haven’t experienced relief so far, other likely causes of the symptoms such as inflammation, injuries would need to be considered. If you do not notice any improvement over the next couple of weeks, you may consider a review by your orthopedician for suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
