hip pain and giving out

by las03, Sep 12, 2009 08:36AM
I have a question, My left hip gives me some pain, not alot. But the main thing is that is seems to give out and pops when I am walking, which hurts and does it almost daily. I had x-rays done on this hip and shows nothing wrong. What could be causing this? Anyone else experience this problem? Don't know what to do to stop this. Its very painful when it happens.

To: las03,
Hello!

You would need an MRI to find out any problem with tendons and ligaments which would not be clear by an X-ray.
You would need an orthopedic examination to check for any hip instability.
Take anti inflammatory drugs intermittently and take an appointment with an Orthopedician specializing in hip problems.

Take care!
