Hey everybody -
I had no idea where to put this.... sorry if it's in the wrong forum.
Anyways...
For the past week i've been experiencing pain in the outer right of my waist. There's a bone, and then right above it it becomes squishy and that's your waist. The pain is right around that bone. It only hurts there, not in my thigh or anything, and it's a very focused and sharp pain.
Here are some things that seem to cause it:
*sitting for a long time and then getting up and walking on it
*standing only on that leg and sort of slumping into it, and then switching legs. there's a point in the switch that hurts a lot.
I'm an avid rock climber, but the pain is never there when im climbing, nor do i think the climbing caused it.
Can anybody tell me what this is?
Thanks

Does it feel like your leg "gives out" sometimes? I had the similar symptoms (twice) in my lifetime. It was due to a tumor on my proximal femur head. So as much as you may think it is your hip, it may very well be your femur head. I suggest seeing an orthopedic doctor and getting an X-ray and/or MRI (with contrast?).
Hope this helps. Get it checked out! On a side note I just had the recurrence of my last tumor (chondroblastoma) removed 4 weeks ago today.
