Hello Dear,

I can understand your problem well.
What kind of swelling is it?
Is it hard or soft?
Is it tender?
Any redness around the swelling?
Do you also have fever?
Swelling may be due to soft tissue infection, mal union or delayed union.
This is best correlated with the type of surgery done and how bad was the trauma which resulted in the fracture.

Best.
