Hi there!

Well, it would be difficult to comment on the situation without a detailed description of the symptoms or a detailed clinical evaluation. In the situation of a trauma sustained to the knee, it is advisable to consult a primary care physician or an orthopedician to rule out possible injuries and suggestion of an appropriate management plan. Though non-weight bearing/ use of crutches may help, it may not be required in all cases.

Take care!

To treat a twisted knee, avoid putting any weight or pressure on the knee by using crutches or a cane when walking. Rest. ice, compression and elevation should be instituted as soon as possible.

Take care!
