Thank you for the information. I may be facing more surgery to repair my sternum. My by-pass heart surgery was a year ago last Oct. My sternum is lopsided and has not healed. Waiting new picture in March to see if it has improved. If not I am lookinig for a thoracic surgeon whom is trained with that type of joining because the stternum wires are causing so much pain of it's own.  I live in Baltimore city, Maryland. If anyone would know how to obtain a list of doctors for that purpose p;ease pass on the information. Thank You.

Hi there!

Kryptonite bone cement is a resin composed of naturally occurring fatty acids and calcium carbonate used for repairing bone defects in the sternum and the skull. It is non-toxic and has bone-like mechanical properties and has been approved by the FDA.  It is available as a three component pack and when mixed it gets polymerized in stages, making it easier to work with. You could possible read more about it over the net.
Hope this information is helpful.

Take care!
