left hand thumb bone injury

by deerlittle7, Oct 04, 2009 05:43AM
i am a weightlifting athlete, it was march 2009 when i lifted a 50 kilogram barbell for my snatch work out, and then, i lifted it successfully but when i drop my barbell to the ground, i forgot to let go of my left hand on holding the barbell and when  it is near to the ground where i let go my left hand but the barbell shaft which i am holding to, bounces back(apparently the barbell's plates are rubberized for weightlifting) and hits my left thumb metatarsal joint, causing it to give me a sprain, that i can't resist the pain, after 7 months, with pain releivers, the pain is still there because i'm still training for my weightlifting competition for october 2009,  i'm 20 years old, and i have a copy of my left hand x-ray,right here in this link: http://photos-p.friendster.com/photos/59/85/7325895/2_297784469l.jpg
