Spondylosis refers to degenerative osteo-arthritis of the intervertebral joints. In the situation this is associated with degeneration of the intervertebral discs and a midline protrusion of the disc from its normal position. I would suggest discussing the situation and the suggested management plan in detail with the treating doctor.
