I recently was involved in a very bad car accident. I severed my brachial artery, median and ulnar nerve at the inside of my left elbow. I loss a lot of blood and now I’m a little anemic. I have had surgery to repair my median and ulnar nerve they used a nerve from my leg that controls the feeling on the outside of my foot. I can extend my fingers but can’t make a fist. My hand is tingling really bad and sharp shooting pain. As far as pain management will anything over the counter help? Also what’s the recovery time on an injury of this type..? Functioning simple daily task one handed is really difficult.
