non displace fibula fracture

by clhorner, Sep 30, 2009 06:21PM
I have recently fallen down the stairs and ended up fracturing my fibula with non displacement and tore some ligaments on the sides of my ankle with small tears also in my achilles tendon. I don't have an appointment until almost a week from now and just curious as to what the typical treatment for this is.

Hello,

If undisplaced then proper supportive boots, necessary precautions would be enough.

Let the orthpedician decide and he would need a fresh X-ray.

Take care!
