Hi,
How are you feeling?
I assume that you meant Osteo Articular Transfer Surgery by OATS procedure.
This procedure is recommended generally for large lesions or lesions that fail other forms of treatment. Osteotomy usually is required as part of the surgical approach.
Osteo-chondral tissue harvested from a remote non-load-bearing site (usually the ipsilateral knee) and transplanted into talar defect. The procedure is limited by the amount of donor tissue that can be harvested. 94% of the procedure has well to excellent results.
What are suffering from and what are your other concerns?
Keep me informed if you have a query.
Bye.
