pinkie finger fracure

On 2/4 I injured my pinkie finger on my left hand. I expected that a callus would form. It appears to be fractured at the tip of the finger near the nail bed and still moves at the suspected fracture? Any tips on what to expect?

No xray. I don't have insurance. I have been treating it at home. I have not had much pain, so
I think it will heal on its own just fine. If I notice anything strange I will go to the doctor. Thank you. I just wondered how long it would take to heal in general.

Thanks again!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Get an X-ray done to diagnose any fractures in your phalanges of your ring finger.

Wear a finger splint, apply ice packs and take NSAIDs to reduce pain and inflammation.

After 4 weeks you would need to consider some physiotherapy if your fracture has healed.

For any other complications you have to follow up with an orthopedician.

Take care!
