Piriformis syndrome is a neuromuscular disorder that occurs when the sciatic nerve is compressed or otherwise irritated by the piriformis.
Piriformis syndrome commonly causes pain that radiates down the back of the leg. The pain may be felt only on one side depending on the side effected.
Please visit a neurologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
