About two weeks ago, got pain in left heelHeel pain Retrocalcaneal bursitis and is starting in righ heelHeel pain Retrocalcaneal bursitis now. Went to Physical Therapist for assistance with healing. Gave me exercises to perform to help heal and some orthotics for shoes. However, pain seems to be getting worse. I do exercise regularly and was walking only 30 minutes twiceTwice-a-day per week and did elliptical machine for 18 minutes twiceTwice-a-day that week. It started to hurt after doing elliptical especially. I've had this in the past. However, currently I need to exercise as I have some heart issues (on 25 mg AtenololAtenolol Atenolol-chlorthalidone). I'm 44 yo male, wt. 183 lbs, ht. 68". I am overweight, but have lost 18 lbs over last year. Anybody got any helpful advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
hi i'm new to the forum but not not your problem. you really need to see a podiatrist(foot dr). i had it in my left foot a few yrs ago. it healed with exercise. then 3yrs ago i had a flare up and didn't realize it. i ended up tearing the fascia half loose from heel bone. didn't feel good at all. what types of exercise are you doing for your foot?
I have purchased some books and am currently doing some stretching and yesterday I tried some toe raises. I managed about 40. My feet do feel better. Fortunately, the injuries to both feet are not that bad as I don't run, just walk. I'm sure this all started with elliptical machine, as I had been walking more and stretching from elliptical just aggravated PF. I may try some exercises for arches, like towel crunch. Hopefully, I can alleviate pain by rehab exercises, as I don't think I need to see Dr. yet. I work out, riding bike, swimming, walking, some light weights, so don't put a whole lot of strain on foot. I have had this in the past and alleviated by just stopping activity. However, currently I have to work out as I have been put on 25 mg Atenolol for fast heart rate. This medication lowers heart rate and I have been having issues with high blood pressure. The exercise has helped with the HTN. I will continue to rehap and get back with you all with results. Thank you both for responses.
foot streaches really helped also..espesially before you get out of bed in the morning.. also make sure your wearing good shoes.. change them up every 3-4 months , also don't walk barefoot ever even in your house wear shoes all the time.. but you should really see a foot doctor.. one shot could really help.. good luck
