strange short knee pain
Hi,
I have a very strange knee injury.
I play rugby so I can't really say when i got injured, what I can say is that this injury never caused me to stop playing.
My knee seems fine. No swelling, strange sounds or pain. I have full movement in all directions. I run, play soccer and tennis and no pain is present. The problem comes when I fall down or my knee gets hit from the side. I feel an intense pain and have trouble standing up. Literally 3 minutes later, my knee is as good as new. No pain or swelling. I’ve had this injury for several months with no improvement.
I can say that I'm a little overweight (96Kg 1.81m tall 23 years old)
thanxfor your time,
Malcolm

Pain on the outside of the knee, or lateral aspect of the knee joint, is commonly caused by lateral meniscus tears, lateral collateral ligament injuries.

It would seem that you would be best with a referral to a knee Specialist or for further evaluation and  treatment.

Take care!
