suffering from severe carpal ligament pain

I am Srijini. My husband (30 yrs old) is suffering from severe wrist pain. he says that it begins from the wrist area and it spreads to the median nerves.He is a Software Programmer who always work with the computer. but he always says when ever he got that pain it's unbearable.He also says that his too used to suffer with this pain..

Is this pain heriditary.

i want a sloution to his because i am unable to see my husband suffering from this kind of pain.

The sprain in the wrist could be due to carpal tunnel syndrome, where the median nerve is compressed, or pinched off, as it passes through the wrist.
The goal of treatment is to reduce the swelling and pressure on the median nerve
Treatment may include the use of splints or braces, anti-inflammatory medications, cortisone injections or surgery.
Other cause could be-

Tendonitis is a common problem that can cause wrist pain and swelling. Wrist tendonitis is due to inflammation of the tendon sheath. Treatment of wrist pain caused by tendonitis usually does not require surgery.
Wrist sprains are common injuries to the ligaments around the wrist joint. You should consult  a neurophysician and discuss regarding the treatment options.
