tingling in thumb

I fractured/dislocated my wrist , had some loss of sensation in my thumb on the pad . I was casted up to my shoulder yesterday. I have been taken Motrin for the pain, but today  the pain and numbness in the thumb is spreading. I am suppose to go back to Ortho in three weeks.  I fell with an empty saucer in my hand . I landed on the sideways saucer which hit the tile floor . My ulna bone popped out . When my mom turned my hand, the bone popped back into place. Ortho doctor said I might have some radial or medial? nerve damage. My question is does the numbness and tingling feeling get worse before it gets better?

Hello!

I would suggest you to check if the cast is too tight on your hand.

These symptoms can occur due to inflammation after injury and issues like swelling.

Go for an X-ray and continue rest and follow up with the orthopedician.

Continue taking anti inflammatory medications.

Take care!
