If your symptoms are progressing and there is more pain and inflammation then I would suggest you to visit an orthopedician for an examination of your gastrocnemius & soleus the possible calf muscles involved.
You need to take rest, take some anti inflammatory drugs initially to decrease the pain and then continue applying ice packs. Do not apply "ice" directly on the skin of the place of tear, apply ice packs.
With time and proper rest small tears will heal completely.
