I had an ulnar nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity transposition done in 2004 due to much pain & numbnessNumbness and tingling. After the surgery I was not able to straighten my left arm. I went to a new doctor who did a 2nd surgery in 2006. My nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity was tacked under my muscle so tight that it caused the nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity to be kinked like an hour glass. I had the bone of my elbowElbow pain shaved down and the nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity moved again. I am still having problems with my left arm and now the same thing in my right arm. I have noticed lumps on both elbows. They are there and then gone a few hours later, on & off through out the day. I just had another EMG done and results show nothing wrong. I have requested to have an MRI done, since I was told by several doctors EMG's don't always show the problem. I have yet to have a doctor set up an MRI for me. They keep telling me it's all in my head.
I have problems with fine motor skills. I can hang onto a 10 pound bag of potatoes with no problem but holding a cup of coffee or a pen is almost impossible. I drop things constantly and if something is too heavy it sends that shock from fingertips to elbows to the point I'm jumping around and screaming in pain. I sleep with my arms straight by splinting. I wake up all hours of the night with numb hands and fingers and severe pain in both elbows. Lately, I've also noticed I have both arms scratched bloody from constant itch from elbows to fingers. I try not to scratch, but it gets so bad I'm rubbing my arms on the edges of the table or desk or whatever else I can get to and then bruise black & blue from it.
I've explained all of these things to my doctor. I have even gone for 2nd & 3rd opinions. No help. Normally I'll go to the doctor with Sharpie ink all over me from drawing on myself to show where the pain goes from elbow to fingers just so the doctor has the path of the pain. I've been told this is an ulnar nerve problem, but no one knows why my left arm has not gotten any better. I'm trying to keep from going through the surgery on my right arm as I have lost much of the strength in my left.
Does anyone else have similar problems? Any ideas what's going on? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!!
