wrist pain

i have had a pain in the pinky side of my wrist for the past 2 or 3 days. i can make a fist and bend it down but for me to bend it back it is extremely painful. i do work alot with my hands and i do play golf but i dont know when or how it happened. what could i have done and do i need to seek medical attention?

    How are you? Pain in the wrist can occur due to fractures, carpal tunnel symdrome, dequervian tendonitis, tennis elbow and repetitive motion disorders.
The symptoms that you mentioned pain over the  middle finger and pain during movement in the wrist can occur due to fractures and carpal tunnel syndrome. It is more likely to be carpal tunnel syndrome as there is no history of trauma and there is a history of over use, also pain is present over the middle finger which is supplied by median nerve.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is due to entrapment of the median nerve. I would suggest you to visit a orthopaediacian and follow his advise.
