x-rays

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference in what shows when comparing x-rays of feet and ankles that are weight bearing to x-rays that are non-weight bearing. Will something show up on the weight bearing that may not necessarily show up on the non-weight bearing. Especially possible fracture of the cubiod or calcaneous. Thanks

Hello!

X-rays will diagnose fractures of the bone and also dislocations of joints and things involving bone. There are different positions for different tarsal bones, like AP view, lateral view etc for more visibility as X-rays cannot be done in sections like CT or MRI.

Take care!
