osteopenia question..

hi, i'm a 25 year old female diagnosed with osteopenia. i have extreme bone and joint pain also some joint stiffness. (sometimes it feels like when you bash your 'funny bone' and the pain shoots down your arm and through your fingers, then back to your elbow, rebounding back and forth till you want to cry.)
but i have read that osteopenia doesn't cause bone pain?? is this true? or is this something else????

I have never heard of bone pain with osteopenia.  I have it, and though sometimes I do have lower back pain, but nothing like what you are talking about.
