I want my ileostomy reversed after 3 and half years what are the pros and cons

I had an ileostomy 3 and half years ago and have had a lot of problems with stoma diarrheoa which has been put down to digestive problems but is it too late.  I would like to find out the pros and cons of having this operation.

they go in and hook the remaining bowel up to your rectum during that surgery...if u had rectal cancer or andy rectal disease then u cant have the surgery done...what was ur diagnosis/or why did u get the stoma?  U can expect more frequent and loose stools after u r hooked back up///but u adjust and they become less frequent
