Perforated Colon

by mem37, Oct 06, 2009 04:42PM
My mom had her colon surgery two years ago, and has had numerous problems.  She has actually had to have four surgeries in all.   But she still ( after almost two and a half years) has a small open incision on her abdomen.  She went to check in to getting her reversal surgery and they  gave her a barium enema, which proceded to exit through this abdominal incision.  Is this normal??  I'm not a doctor but this doesn't seem  like a likley place for an enema to exit.  I don't know how much more she can take, she's only 59 but it's taking it's toll on her.
