can someone who has a colostomy tell me of any helpful support groups or good advices for living with a colostomy. my daughter will have to get a permenant one and I know it will be extremely hard to cope with that. what are some useful methods used to deal with this mentally.
Just found this site and am glad of it. I have had a colostomy for 7 1/2 years.
One source of great information is from a magazine called "The Phoenix". It
is the official publication of the United Ostomy Association of America and
contains much useful information on support groups, products, patient problems,
travel tips, etc. Try www.uoaa.org.
