bumps on the stoma

I've had an ileostomy for 4 years and last year, a bump appeared on the top surface of my stoma. It was removed with laser surgery but 6 months later another bump appeared. The second bump went away on it's own. Now a year later, I have another bump and it is not going away. What causes this and what permanent solutions are available?
