It's Saturday Night and time for Cyber Party!  Tell us about any virtual goodies you brought and put them by the hot tub.  The virtual bar is open so sidle on up!  
     At Cyber Party we relax and get to know each other so tell us where you hale from, about the kids and or pets, whatever.  I'm in Minnesota, just south of Minneapolis.  My DH Frank and I are empty nesters this year with both kids off to college in Mankato.  Just us now with our two neurotic cats Bear and Couger as well as our fish.  We have a large tank in the dining room with six rather large angel fish that we call "the puppies" as well as a tank in our bedroom where we have our morning coffee and watch the mini dramas played out by the various fish who live there.  
     So drop by, have a soak in the virtual hot tub and, perhaps, a maragita or two!  It's Cyber Party!  MV

I have two kids, my son Chad is 21 and my daughter Caitlin is almost 19.  Frank and I have been married nine years although I have known him since 1983 when we were both teaching electronics at a local VoTech.  He and I both work for the phone company.  He and I both served and are retired now, him with 28 years Army and Army Reserve and me after 21 years Air Force and Air National Guard.  Love having my weekends back!  MV

i have a receipe for a pretty salad  I am taking it to dinner Thanksgiving.  1 pkg  of strawberry jello, I use the sugar free, 3 mashed bananas, can of unsweetened pineapple, frozen strawberries, container of sour cream.  fix the jello as called for, add the other ingredients except for the cream, put 1/2 in a flat dish and let set, spread the cream over and then put the rest of the mixture on top.  Let it firm set,  This can be doubled easily.

That does sound good!  I tried to make something like that in key lime, it tasted good but looked fairly wretched!  MV

Hey Lady!
     Pretty quiet around here tonight but let's party none-the-less!  I just finished the second class using that new curriculum I wrote this summer and it's going better than I imagined!  More detail on the Battallion site on Tasch's thread.  I have had a few emails from Dian so know whe's been around as well as from Canadian Kate.  Both are doing fine and perhaps they will drop by!  Until them let's enjoy a virtual soak!  MV

Brought some Amana wines, try them all.  Indian casino is just 1/2 hour from me and the wine is in between  so I have it all.   Dates??? what are they?  At my age.  you want,  but can't find it any more.  Met a couple of guys on the net,  one I hid from,  the other lived close  but lost his leg and also lost interest.  I can tell you girls the "OLD " sex drive doesn't go way  it just dries up. I live in Iowa, but wish I were in Arizona.  Stayed put this winter because of daughter. Try some of these new sugar free, fat free brownies,  they ain't bad. Loaded them with walnuts. Belly up to the bar girls and lets toast all the ladies.

I have 5 kids, 13 grandkids and 1 great grandkid.  I do Ebay, take a lot of pictures, play bridge and spades on the net, travel to time shares all over. Lost my hubbie  in 1994 to emphasema,  42 1/2 years with him though.  I am an RN but went back to college in 1979 to get a degree in working with people with disabilities.  My youngest son is a Downs Syndrome. Went to work for the local county and then for the state, loved working with my people. My daughter is my only girl, she also works with people with disabilities. She is hopeful that all this is working for her and she is anxious to get back to work.  She says staying at home this much is driving her bananas.  In fact one of the chemo people told her to see a phyciatrist. My kids had a fit  when I told them "Jabba" was coming here.  Oldest son went with me to the bus station, and we both hid.  The kids haven't let me forget how stupid mothers can be sometimes.

Hey there, glad you all could make it!  I have to tell you Star that I related your story to Frank one night in the hot tub about hiding from Jabba the Hut, OMG we laughed ourselves silly!  Dating, hardly remember!  I don't miss being single, I recall what it hassle it was to get rid of the "frogs"!  Told one that followed me to Minnesota just after I got out of active duty from Europe.  Told him to go ahead and make his way home to Alaska and I'd meet him.  Hope he's not still waiting! Ah ...Seven layer cookie bars. My Mom used to make them. It has been years. May I guess? Graham crackers(crumbs), chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, cocoanut flakes, sweetened condensed milk poured overall. Ok...that doesn't add up to seven. HELP! Had these in Maryland, Raven, so maybe they didn't make it out  to Minnesota. But see, then, I had never heard of Swedish rolls...so, it all evens out.

Sorry to be joining so late. Vixen should be along soon from Oz...

Wow....you all will be thinking I indulged in one too many virtual margaritas if I keep that up!  Anyway, what I was going to say before I was so rudely interupted by the click of my mouse is that I have been chatting online all evening with a fellow cancer survivor.  He had Hodgekins disease in 1995.  It came back in 2004, and he is just finishing up treatments.  Isn't it amazing that no matter what the cancer, it seems like it is so easy to understand the trials and tribulations it causes to people in all walks of life.  I am just so honored to have met you all here, and even though most are (thankfully) in the 99% club, I am just as happy as a clam to be here with you all.

Hey everyone! Just got in from darling daughter's dance concert. I'm pooped! Got a sore butt too - but she looked delightful!! Well worth it. Just sitting back with a glass of wine. Big bowl of home made fried rice! Mmmmmmm. Sounds like a yummy dessert on offer for afters ..... can't wait! Bugger the waist line.

7 layer cookies-

1 grahm cracker crumbs and margarine like making a pie crust
2 white chocolate chips
3 coconut flakes
4 chocolate chip cookies
5 walnuts
6 butterscotch chips
7 sweetend condensed milk

basically, ya make the "crust" with the grahm crackers, layer the rest of the things alternating and mixing/ matching them. pour the sweetend milk over the top and bake.

these are VERY rich, a bit expensive to make but so good you cant have just one.
once cooled ya cut them into LITTLE squares.
