3 1/2 months post-laparotomy

Hello, everyone - I visited this forum a lot when I was getting ready for my surgery to remove what I (and all the doctors) thought was a large ovarian cyst. Turns out a it was large uterine fibroid. It was removed by laparotomy on July 9th. I'm sorry to post this here, since it's not an OvCa question, but this is the only place I know of where so many women have had similar surgeries.
I was recovered nicely until about two weeks ago when, following my second period since the surgery, I began having pain again on my left side (where the fibroid was) and my scar is more sensitive again. I feel like I've rewound my recovery a bit. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
The only major change is that I'm trying to lose weight so I've ramped up my exercise routine, but I feel like at 3 - 31/2 months post-op I should be able to do that. I've got to get active again.
I've made an appointment with the gyno, but it's not for another week. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yeah.....I have an idea......you hurt yourself doing something you probably shouldn't have been doing...hmm......wonder what.....it's good you are going back in for a check.....you sound like me.....something stupid going on all the time!   Hang in there and don't give up....things will really get back to normal eventually.....
Peace.
