4.9cm mass found on right ovary

I HAVE BEEN GETTING TREATED FOR PID FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS AND NOTHING SEEMS TO TAKE AWAY ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS,FINALLY MY DR HAD AN ULTRA SOUND DONE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY FOUND A 4.9 CM MASS ON MY RIGHT OVARY, MY QUESTIONS IS IT RELATED TO THE PID? OR IS IT SOMETHING TOATLLY DIFFERENT? SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT THE MASS CAUSE OF ITS SIZE? I HAVE HAD PAINFUL PERIODS FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS WITH HEAVY BLEEDING AND LARGE BLOOD CLOTHS,IT WOULD LAST A WEEK. COULD THIS BE A SIGN OF OVARIAN CANCER? PLEASE HELP NO ONE WANTS TO TELL ME ANYTHING.
