5 weeks ago today I had surgery and wound separationPlacenta abruptio Separation anxiety again in the same area. I had staples for 3 weeks and on antibiotics for 3 weeks because last time I had several infections. I was off of antibiotics 3 days and was showing early signs of infection, so back on meds. I go to my doc everyday to have the incisionIncision for abdominal laparoscopy Incision for lung biopsy Incision for pleural tissue biopsy Incision for thyroid gland surgery cleaned out and my hubby cleans it out every night (how sexy is that? YIKES!) I don't go anywhere because of infection risk. I know SimplySimply sleep Stars son had this too. Anyone else have this and how long did it take you to heal? Last time, it took 12 weeks to heal. I think things are better this time but ****, this is getting frustrating!
Hope things heal for you soon, next time have them put in a zipper, just kidding hun, I know it is a pain to have to go through this but you will heal in time. How are you doing otherwise?
I don't want to compare you to an animal, but I have a dog that is having a really hard time healing from his surgery. You mentioned a certain bacteria do you remmber the name? We did do a culture but it came back negative, but the next day the vet got a new report of a gram post rod. This indicates that there is bacteria present but they are senstive to the antibiotics that he is on.
Anyway if you can get me the name that would be great.
Thanks
Try "Ask a Vet" forum. She would be able to tell you which meds are used for gram + bacilli. There are some meds that are bacteriostatic and some that are bactericidal. Ask her which is which.
I told my doc as I was going into surgery.........Duck tape and super glue!!!
Anyway if you can get me the name that would be great.
Thanks
