5CM OVARIAN CYST WITH LINES

An ultra-sound showed that I have a 5cm cyst that has lines running through it.  I was put on  Megestrol, to be taken twice daily and then I'm to switch to Medroxyprogesterone for 10 days, and then I'm to have another ultra-sound done to see if it has shrunk. My doctor says she is using these drugs/hormones to prevent cancer.  I do not know what my CA-125 is, and I'm not sure she would tell me if I asked.  Can someone make some sense of this for me?  (Do I have pre-cancer or something?) Your doctor has to tell you what the results are and they have to give you copies of your file if you ask (although they usually charge an outragous amount). With my kindey doctor I always ask for copies of new pages in my file because I've had problems with them confusing me with another patient with the same name. It is your file.... Good luck.
