A garden for Jan

Lets plant a virtual garden for Jan,  I love Pansies because they are so cheerful, so here are a group of colorful Pansies to start her garden.

I will plant blue roses, as they are my favorite.  I love blue roses because they are so rare, just like Jan!  Enjoy your blue roses Jan.

I'm going to add Lantana. I sent her an email with a picture of a blossom - a tiny thing with lots of even smaller blossoms that change color as they age: pink, orange, yellow. It's like a full bouquet in a 1 inch bloom.

I will add Lilly of the Valley.  Their tiny flowers give off a beautiful and powerful scent in much the way that our dear Jan is a tiny woman with a huge heart full of love and a powerful voice that has changed our worlds.

I'd like to add a Magnolia tree for Jan, as they symbolize dignity and true beauty.

I'm including Plumeria, the flowers smell so wonderful and they are such beautiful soft colors. We got them at the Philadelphia flower show, and also in Florida.
They're from Hawaii and I'm sure Jan will enjoy the aroma, and seeing the pretty flowers, she deserves to be surrounded by beauty.... Jane

Like in my pictures, I give to you Hibiscus.  Everyone loves hibiscus especially Butterflies and Hummingbirds...........just as everyone loves you!!!  My new garden angel will be for you Jan.  She is beautiful and sits on a red gazing ball holding a butterfly........

I will plant Lamb's Ear.  The leaves are so soft and inviting.  They aren't known for their flowers, but are better used as fillers to support the more showy flowers...just as Jan supports all of us.  No matter what kind of weather or hardship, Lamb's Ear is always there, whether sitting quietly in the background, or as a border surrounding the entire garden.

I will plant a yellow rose bush, as yellow roses are for friendship, and Jan has been a true friend to so many of us here. If I knew the flower for peace? I would plant that for her family, in hopes that they too will find peace.

How to water a virtual garden,  why with Angel tears, thats how.  All the Angels  are hovering near, to enjoy the beauty and to help us, as they always do, understnad  the passages that we all face into eternity.   I name this garden "Jans Angel Garden".  I think she would like that.   Marty

Right next door to my kitchen is a beautiful frangipani tree with the most gorgeous scent that floats in.  I know Jan lived in Hawaii and I would like to plant a frangipani tree.  The flowers are delicate and beautiful but they are really strong and wild.

Irene you had the same idea as I did, the beautiful Peace Rose! So along with those I will plant some beautiful Roses, in colors of the rainbow. But no garden for Jan would be complete without her beautiful hats. So among the roses I plant will be included the most beautiful hats that I can possibly find. I love you sweetie and will be with you always.

I would plant Gerber Daisies, they come back year after year, beautiful strong flowers, with gorgeous colors to them, and they will remind me how strong and beautiful Jan is. Love to you Jan.

The lantana is really a lovely flower, I had never heard of it before your post.

   If you like the Lantana you'd love visiting down here. They are actually a wild flower. . Grow all over the place and attract butterflies !! There's actually a town called Lantana just south of Lake Worth/West Palm Beach where we came from before moving over here ! They're hardy plants too.. they go through hurricanes and floods and still come back prettier than before ....

I would like to add the Sunflower to Jan's Garden....It is one of my personal favorites...It is bright, and beautiful....just like Jan!!!
