Abnormal Pap 10 yrs ago...

When I was 19 years old i had a OBGYN visit during my Christmas break from college... a week later their office began calling, requesting for me to come back as soon as possible for further testing. I was back at school and did not return calls -- after a month, they left a voice mail and said something about abnormal squamous cells. I never followed up. Two years later i had a pap at the student health clinic. The results said "cervical cells not detectable." .... Three years later, i had my third pap smear - also said "cervical cells not detectable." ... Neither of these requested  a follow-up.

Stupidly, i waited another 4 years before making another OBGYN visit (I'm now almost 29) - i despise going to the doctor. The only reason i made this visit was bc i went from 3 periods a year to randomly bleeding for less than a day ... every couple of days. I have non-chunky, odorless white discharge ALL the time, intercourse is painful and i bleed that day or the next day...... The doctor checked it on the spot and there were no signs of yeast or bacteria in the discharge... also, i have no STDs .... my physical exam was otherwise normal, but now i am still waiting on pap results after 1.5 weeks. I thought they called in a couple days?

I wouldn't worry, but i have been to the ER 4 times in 6 months now...  extreme abdominal pain, immediately followed by unbearable lumbar pain, which results in leg numbness and collapsing. The next day i'm vomiting blood. My lumbar, C-spine, and brain MRI's show healthy spine and brain. However, two radiologists have confirmed there is a mass of radiodensity (6x3 cm, below right rib)... and now i can't eat solid food without taking Zofran first. My PCP thinks i'm crazy. Do you think something gynecological could cause these problems???

Hi There
how very scary for you.
It is hard to know if the lesion on the rib is related at all to your pap smears
if you currently have normal pap smears and there is no evidence of a problem on your cervix on examination, then it is unlikely that the rib lesion is related.
I suspect you will need a biopsy of the rib mass to understand what it is.
please let us know what happens
take care
