Accuracy of pelvic ultrsound

I have a family history of breast cancer and I also have endometriosis that was diagnosed about 12 years ago before my first child. The endometriosis got better for a while but seems to have gotton much worse now in my late thirties with strange symtoms (symptoms) like hormones not feeling right and lot's of pains in ovaries. I had several pelvic ultrsounds in the past couple of years it showed cysts on the right ovary mostly and it comes and goes. But the symtoms (symptoms) have not gone away in the past year. I have had constipation, epigastric pain daily. and breasts tingling all month long. Are the pelvic ultrasounds accurate in showing that the cysts are going away after 3 month follow-up. I have also had nausea. I am contemplating ovary removal and plan on talking to a few specialist but I am afraid of going through the change at the age of 39 will be 40 in June. Can I be sure that the ultrasounds are right? Dr. Did check hormone levels and said they were okay. The pain just does not seem right and I don't feel right. I can't take birth control pill because of risk of Breast cancer. Should I get another diagnostic test like cat sacan or MRI?.Thank you

Hi There,
you should consider genetic testing to see if you are a carrier of the BRCA 1 or 2 gene. If so , then it is really important to consider the prophylactic removal of your ovaries and tubes.

I agree with you that if you do not feel well, we should consider a diagnostic laparoscopy. You should talk with your doctor about these issues
