Additional screening tests after the CA125

I have heard that a CA 125 screening test can be normal even when ovarian cancer is present. Could you please tell me other screening tests that can (should?) be used after a transvaginal ultrasound detects a complex abnormality in an ovary? My recent ultrasound results showed growth (since Oct. 2006) in a cyst that I've had for a number of years. In Oct. 2006 the cyst had a volume of 36mL and it is now 66 mL; with a size of 66cm x 3.7cm x 5.6 cm and "irregular mural nodularity" (with nodular components measuring up to 12 mm in diameter).

Is there any likelihood that this isn't cancer? If so, what could cause this growth?

I am working with my doctor on this, but I would very much appreciate a second opinion. Thank you.

Dear Angie,
Unfortunately there is no screening test for ovarian cancer. Most cysts are benign but you should have your cyst removed surgically. that is the only way to know what it is.
best wishes

Oops sorry (*sigh*): In my earlier post I meant that the size is 6cm x 3.7cm x 5.6  (not 66 cm)
