I am 23 years old. My cycle became irregular (periods after every two weeks) in October 2001. I did not receive any treatment for this and my cycle became regularRegular insulin. The cyst was also getting smaller in follow up ultrasounds. Then in May 2002 four cysts were discovered on my left ovary and the initial cyst on my right ovary remained. I took progesterone for four months after which the cysts on my left ovary disappeared but the one on my right ovary remained. My cycle became slightly irregular in the later part of 2002 but was generally fine after that. Now, my cycle is vastly irregular again- after every 19 days and I have gained an extraExtra strength mylanta calci tabs Extra strength pain relief 5 kilos rapidly. The ultrasound did not reveal any cysts (but am not sure whether it was very reliableReliable gentle laxative). I took natural progestrone for one month but my cycle is still irregular and I get occasional sharp shooting pains in my abdomen. I have experienced these problems in vastly differnt countries and have not seen a constant doctor for them which makes it difficult for coherent stableStable angina Unstable angina advice. Currently I am in a country where proper medical help may not be available or the wrong medication prescribed.
Looking for some general advice on what to do. I am not sexually active so that can be taken out of the equation but would like to have children in the next couple of years.
