Afects after surgery

I had a hysterectomy taking my remaining ovary after having had 6 chemo treatments for ovarian caner in my
surgery they also took my galbladder, apendics and spleen. Quite a major op I haven't been too bad but I am
having pain but it seems to be when I need to go to the toilet (number 2's) and I am having problem going to
number 2's does anyone know if this is normal

Hi my surgery was on the 10th April 2008 so not very long ago thank you for the advise I will speak with my doctor

You don't say how long ago was your surgery.  Constipation is a very real problem after surgery during chemo and then after again... It is normal. My bowel was resectioned and I have problems all the time.. I eat 100% bran every morning with strawberries and that seems to help... try taking a stool softner like colace and if need be discuss with your doctor...
