Any remaining treatments out there?

ai suspect you know my battle since 2002. Well the IP tretments stopped working. The FUDR is not imacting my markers which are now rocketing up. We tried to combine the FUDR with Alimta but after a brief stabilizing of the markers they are rising quite alarmingly. I have decided to have the IP port removed, these treatment are so very very hard and the results have been - limited. You could say that these treatments (for the last 16 months) have helped stabilize thinga to now. So it looks as if I hesitantly will continue with IV treatments and my doctor insists that we should do the Alimta at 5 times the volume as the tiny dose I was getting IP with the FUDR. I suggested Taxiol or Abraxane because how the amazing response I had in the past. My doctor insistes that it will not be effective on a fourth go round. Its been over 2 years since I saw taxol. But last time the good response did not last that long but did lower markers. My CA125 has rocketed to 4800 ( was in the 3000+ for the last year or so). Any opinions or recommendations  would be appreciated - (anything new out there - Ive been through alot) .

Hi There,
thank you for checking in. I am sorry to hear about all the hard stuff you have been through.
There is no wrong answer to the next step.

One of the questions I would have is - is your cancer giving you symptoms? Or are most of your symptoms from the therapy?

If your are not having symptoms from the cancer, you should consider something that wont debilitate you. You want to hold on to your kidney function and bone marrow function.

low dose weekly taxol can be pretty tolerable and if you have not had it in 2 years, makes sense to try.
You doctor knows you the best and I ultimately defer to your doctor.
please keep in touch
best wishes

I have no symptoms from the cancer, generally only feel awful from the treatments. I am off treatments now a few weeks and feel pretty damn good. Always have -generally we are treating markers

Thanks as always for your opinion
