I have not heard that before, but I suppose anything is possible. I am sure someone will be along shortly to let us all know for sure. How have things been with you? I hope all is well and that you are pain free!!

Hey there! I did a quick google of it on the web and apparently it's very uncommon for that to happen, but possible. The impression she gave me was that it was commonCommon cold...well she wasn't a nurse at a GYN's office so I'll just cut her some slack. =)
I'm joyfully pain free at the moment, due for surgery a week from today, so I'll enjoy my pain free time till then!
How have you been? I see you're still happy dancing all over the place...always a good sign!
No...I have fibroids but I'm not having surgery for them. I'm having thyroid surgery. While I was in pre op the nurse asked me some questions and we got around to talking about my GYN and how she wanted me to have a TAH (my cyst resolved and it wasn't needed) I had mentioned I have fibroids with no symptoms and she said "well she wants you to have a TAH because they go cancerous" and I was in shock because I hadn't ever heard that! I did a little web research and it's very rare that they do, so I dunno. I needed to hear from you guys because I swear, you all are the most informed bunch of people I have ever come across! I think the nurse just either misunderstood me or is misinformed herself. It's ok...she was the pre op nurse and not the O.R. nurse. =)

Are you having surgery for fibroids? What are your symptoms?
