Ascites getting worse- Surgury June 25th

My moms debuling surgery is scheduled for June 25th stage III. Her ascites is getting worse. Its scaring me, can anything go wrong because of this? The oncologist says hell remove during surgery. Any home remedies for this to have it go down a little? She has 3 weeks to go and Im scared something will happen to her in the meantime!

You are such a caring and loving daughter, and your Mom is truly blessed to have you to take care of her.

Why don't you call Mom's surgeon and make an appointment for you and Mom, to go over all the questions you have. Be sure to write them down.

Perhaps he will push up the date for surgery if he's concerned about her condition deteriorating.

I hope he is a GYN/ONC Surgeon since they have additional years of education dealing with female organ disease.

Yes...acites (ascites) isn't just uncomfortable it is dangerous. Keep speaking up....She may need to be drained b4 then. I suffered with this and it didn't go away immediately and as I said...it isn't comfortable for a reason...the body is telling you...PAY attention...do something...

Your mom is lucky to have you...Shout if you have to but even if the surgery can't be moved she can get treatment for this in the interem.
