Bilateral Ovarian Cyst

by cnmeerburg, Sep 23, 2008 07:08PM
Hi,
I'm a 38 years old mother and I had a check-up yesterday (23Sept2008). I went for my annual papsmear test and transvaginal UTZ. The result showed that I have a myoma uteri which is 1.10cm and as of last year's impression it is still the same. My worry started when my doctor told me that I had a bilateral ovarian cyst, I have no idea what it is and she asked me to observe it for 3 premenstrual cycles and return to her for a repeat scan. Is it going to be a cancer? Do I need to have a second opinion from another ob-gyne? Why she didn't gave any medicine for it? I'm still longing for another baby...son...please advise.

Hello.  I just wanted to let you know that there is also a board for specifically dedicated to ovarian cysts.  Both of these forums are full of lovely, smart, helpful women and many of them participate in both boards.  I know you will get some great information on either board, but by posting on the OvCy board you may come in contact with women who are more familiar with your situation.

Good luck, God bless.
