i had fluid drained from my stomach
i had a tube put down my nose-to drain the lower stomach intesinal -because the tumor was preventing the food from digesting correctly-sorry about my spelling-after surg it was told it was scar tissue from my old galbladder surg -it looked like a tumor in the c.t scan but it was still causing a blockage- they removed the ovaries and any other areas where cancer could grow-they called it a radical hysterectomy so go to your doctor tomarrow and get the test -i was stage 4 when they diag me.i ignored my blotted stomach too long- after surg and 9 chemos i managed to come through because of the great doctors and staff. and faith.good luck let me know what how your test comes out-
Hi I am 31 and I am married with 3 kids, over the past 3-4 months I have had very heavy periods that have lasted up to 3 weeks, with a very bloated abdomen, tiredness, feeling weak and breathless. I have a implanon implant in but have had that since last May and only got these problems around 3-4 months ago. I have gone up a dress size in the last month. I have a cervical smear 2 months ago which came back as fine. Any advice gladly received, Em xxx
This is my first time reading about this and it has made me really nervous. I have been watching my diet for about 4 years now after I had a colonoscopy. It came back clear and I was told I had IBS. My GYN then started me on a different birth control pill to see if my periods had something to do with my symptoms, since they were worse around that time. No huge findings. She then did a ultra sound and found fibroids, again "no big deal". I can't eat lettuce or apples for they both bring on incredible "attacks" that send me to the emergency room. So even though the rest of me is pretty small, I walk around with this bloated stomach all the time. I'm worried and I hate it.
hi im 21 and i too have sever bloating. i look like im pregnant and feel as if my stomach is going to explode. ive been told that i have fluid adjacent to my right ovary. my gyno appointment isnt for another 2 weeks. the bloating really hurts. and i have severe pelvic pain. back pain. constant urination. feeling of leakage. gas. nausea. loss of appetite but wieght gain.
im really scared.
should i go to the hospital?
please help
I'm glad you mentioned the point about where you are in your cycle. I will have to start tracking that as well. My GYN gave me a chart to keep up with that at my last appt. but I can also use it to see where I am and how it affects me when I eat and where I am in my cycle. Thanks for sharing that.
I have been taking Protonix for about six years and never have pursued tests for the reflux that I have. Several years ago I went through the colonoscopy and upper gi testing, but they just concluded IBS back then. I think it may have been gyno related back then as I had a cone biopsy done for Stage III dysplasia in my cervix. Then a few years ago I had two complex cysts removed. Now my reflux is so bad I also take mylanta with the Protonix. I know what you mean about bloated all the way up and hard to breath. If I eat too much or the wrong food (maybe the milkshake did it to you), that's how I feel. Last weekend we went out for dinner and I had a burger but just half of it. I had to go home b/c of the swelling all the way up and the difficulty breathing. The swelling does put pressure on the airways as I've read that somemwhere. Just be careful what you eat and eat small portions. Now last night and today I've been able to eat more, but I may pay for it tomorrow. I think that has to do with where I'm at in my cycle - I believe I'm ovulating now. I try to follow month by month all of the symptoms and journal it. Gotta get to the root of the issues! Take care and please post when you can.
Thanks for responding and sharing your symptoms with me. Last night was the worst for me and the bloating was so painful. That's why I decided to post the question. It just seemed worse than ever before. I had a vanilla shake which is not normal for me and afterwards I was so swollen, up to my breasts and I was having shortness of breath. And the fatigue, weakness was worse than ever. I finally just went to sleep. Remind me: have you been through all the GI tests like me? I don't have anything like you do, only an ovarian cyst on my left ovary that they found a few weeks ago on the tvus and they said it was a functional cyst. Like you, I know something is not "right". I feel so tired and weak today. Back to resting. Take care and keep us posted.
I'm sorry, I just re-read your thread below about going for your CT and my response to you on that thread. As I said, I hope I can be as persistent as you were. But I saw this thread and wanted to let you know that my symptoms with the bloating are like yours. Again, best to you.....
I also have the bloated abdomen very much so - I look like I'm about 5 mos. pregnant and I can't "suck it in" anymore as one post above said. I have ovarian cysts, fibroids, adenomyosis, trace blood in my urine, and all the abdomen pain, lower back pain, leg pain, pelvic pain, etc. I also cannot eat as I used to - I get nausea very easily and feel full all the time whether I eat or not. I also have a strong family history of colon and breast cancers. This has been going on for about a year now. I finally go back for my second visit with the gyno/onco for a tvu and consult on 4/23 and will demand answers. So you see I feel the same way and am very nervous as are you. It's got to be something and hopefully in both our cases, it will be benign. When do you go back? Please keep me/the forum posted on your progress. Best........
Any abnormal swelling of the abdomen should be checked out, any feeling of fullness could mean a lot of things. I think I would ask for a CT to see what, if anything was causing either one of those. Good Luck
Well, for me, my abdomen was bloated from a mucinous cystadenoma (benign tumor on the ovary that took up 3/4 of my belly space). Because it took up so much room (about the size of a football and weighted 9 lbs when they took it out), my stomach was smushed and I could only eat about half of what I could before. I didn't notice if it got more bloated after I ate but I know that there was no more room in there (I couldn't "suck it in" like I used to be able to) so if I ate a lot, then it had to go somewhere.
I also looked about 5-6 mos preggo so it's not necessarily cancer because mine was benign. But definitely have it checked out.
Good luck.
