Bloating with Ovarian Cysts???

I have terrible bloating and pain in my right side and my doctor suggested i go to ultrasound... I got the ultrasound done yesterday and the person who is doing it asked me a few questions watching my vaginal ultrasound and said "that explains it" and i asked her what was wrong and she said that she is not supposed to reveal it to me and the doctor will call me... I am worried... And since that stupid vaginal ultrasound, I am bloated like i am 5months pregnant... I am usually not like this... Just a little depresesd today and worried about my results....

Any suggestions will help.

I was diagnosed yesterday, through an internal sonography, with a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst and alot of fluid in my uterus. I have been suffering with alot of gastroentestinal problems and only yesterday thought that it may be connected. Today I have stomach bloating and indegestion as well. My gynaecologist scared me by talking about a possibility of Endometriosis, which when looked up on the net, looks extremely scary. But he says let's wait and watch the cyst, it may be purely a functional cyst which may just go down all by itself. I've just gotten married and we were planning to try for a baby by next month, so I'm hoping and praying. I do hope things turn out fine with you and me!

Yes I hope it is ok with you and me... I already have a child but i was planning on the second one in next 3 months or so... So i will be really disappointed if they diagnose something and tell me that i cannot have a baby now :-(

Going through much of the same thing as both of you. We are trying to concieve. I just went on birth control pills for a couple of months to see if it will shrink my cysts I have a few functional and a couple of complex cysts. We'll see what happens. I'm trying to decide if I should see a reproductive endocrinologist. Good luck!

Sounds like it could be a cyst to me. That was one of my first signs that I overlook- I was pretty bloated as well. Wouldn't have thought to have it check until I got pregnant and they found it during a U/S.

I agree with the ladies, it does sound like a cyst (my opinion).  You are wise in getting medical attention.  Stay proactive in your health care.  Get a 2nd opinion from a gyn/onc as they are specialists in the female reproductive area.  They do not only take care of cancer patients.  Remember 99% of ovarian cysts are benign, but you cannot ignore your symptoms.  Keep us posted.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed
