Blood flow to ovarian cyst

by josie05, Nov 11, 2005 12:00AM
I was just wondering if it is normal to have blood flow to an ovarian cyst? I have surgery scheduled in mid December to remove the cyst and maybe the ovary. I got the us report and no one mentioned blood flow to the cyst. Is this normal?

Thanks,
Josie05

I mean the u/s report showed blood flow to the cyst. The doctor told me it needs to come out.  I am wondering if the fact that it has a blood supply is a concern or is it normal for cysts to have a blood supply? I am just wondering how blood flow correlates to whether something is cancerous or not.

Thanks
