Bruising after surgery (Laporotomy)

Bruising after surgery (Laporotomy)

Hello: I am home recovering and reading through this wonderful site. I thought I'd post a question about my bruising. I have bruising accross the top and bottom of my incision, my first thought is this is normal but I guess my nerves are looking for someone with experience to say that it is. My Doctor's office is always horrible so I can't call them anymore I cried just trying to make a follow up appt:) I am now just waiting for the biopsy results, the tumor which was softball size looked like a cauliflower according to the surgeon so I am hoping to hear soon. Best wishes to all!

I had a laporotomy, and I didnt have brusing. I am assuming that you might be more sensitive. Give it a couple days, see if it goes away. If not, get a different Dr. and set up an appt. Good luck!

Well I have my results for now. A-typical Carcinoid. I guess the lab tested it twice because the results were rare. The Doctor said I will see another specialist to determine if there may be any tumors/spreading anywhere else but surgery may have taken care of it or it may not be malignant. Very interesting. I honselty thought the biopsy would be it but I'm ok with it not being that easy, I just want to get this solved. Have a great day!!
